A new year, a new perspective

Hello all,

This is my first foray into the blogosphere, so please bear with me. I have established this blog because I believe I have some important things to say about our society, our country, our world, and life in general. The tone of this blog will probably vary from day to day, depending on what has percolated to the forefront of my mind. I hope it will be an interesting adventure in creativity and expression.

Many of my posts will likely gravitate to politics or religion. I might as well tell you up front, I wear the labels Liberal, Feminist and Democrat proudly. If you have a problem with that, then you're on the wrong blog, thanks for visiting and have a nice life. For the rest of us, I established this blog because I believe that voices for change need to have an outlet if positive social change is ever to be achieved. What is positive social change? That's going to be a recurrent theme of this blog. I hope this blog will generate discussion on what is broken in our society and how to fix it. That's positive social change, figuring out what we can do, and must do, in order to make the world we live in a better place. At the very least, if this blog raises awareness and encourages independent thought, then it will have served a purpose.

I hope this blog will turn into a journey of exploration, for all of us.
